What is successful teaching/learning?I believe that anything can be learned. Being open-minded, curious and exited about new things is the first step in learning – the second step is to trust that we can do it. Thus, as a teacher, it is important to me to appeal to this learning potential in my students, to ignite their natural spark of curiosity about languages and to make them feel confident that they can learn anything if they set their mind to it. In order to achieve this, I believe it is necessary to convey passion for the subject and to make students aware of why languages are the way they are. That way, I hope that my students will start to view languages and learning in a different light: As something that is valuable and goes beyond the classroom!
